Hardware Technician
Description: Provide IT technical support, consisting of high level expertise on custom software application packages in both Linux and Windows platforms. In-depth knowledge of technical skills in rack mount servers, desktop systems, networking, remote connectivity and infrastructure support, and documentation. Needs to quickly diagnose triage issues and deliver a high level of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications: Experience in Linux is a must.
Previous Technical Support experience is preferred.
Experience with various computer peripherals and applications.
Knowledge in installation and configuration of servers, PCs, and misc. hardware/software.
Excellent problem solving and resolution experience.
Customer oriented and focused on meeting the client's needs.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Integrity, attention to detail, timeline sensitive, goal-oriented, motivator, ability to analyze and solve problems, sound decision making skills, team player, self disciplined, and adaptability.
Software Engineer-Alarm
Description: Alarm Software Engineers are responsible
for designing, developing and testing solutions to complex
software engineering problems. They will initially work
on problems of moderate scope dependent on their abilities.
Other tasks include providing work estimates and writing
detailed design specs and documentation.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate for this position
will have a Bachelor's degree in C/S or CIS or a related
field with knowledge of software engineering and the role
of testing in the software lifecycle. Interested applicants
should be self-learners with good troubleshooting skills.
Experience working in the UNIX operating system environment
is a plus. Applicants must also be willing to travel if
necessary.
Support Representative-Alarm
Description: An Alarm Support Representative provides
telephone support to customers and assists them in the
development and integration of solutions based on DICE
software. Representatives will research and reproduce
customer issues, and escalate issues to DICE Software
engineering.
Qualifications: Interested applicants should be
self-learners with excellent technical communication,
problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Computer knowledge and/or Central Station experience is
a plus.
Software Engineer-Accounting
Description: The primary function of the Accounting
Software Engineer is the development and maintenance of
accounting based software for the security and alarm industry.
Qualifications: Interested applicants must be hard
working, be able to function individually with minimal
supervision and must be able to work with a team. Programming
experience is also mandatory. At least two years of programming
experience is preferred and college courses do count.
Experience with accounting software is helpful. Applicants
must also be willing to travel if necessary.
Trainer-Accounting
Description: The primary function of the Accounting
Trainer is to train and evaluate the Accounting Support
team in the use of DICE Accounting software, phone systems,
customer communication and troubleshooting techniques.
The Accounting Trainer will also work with customers regarding
issues with their accounts and will keep them informed
until a resolution for their issue is found.
Qualifications: Interested applicants must have
experience with accounting software. They must possess
excellent verbal and written communication skills. A background
in customer service is also helpful. Applicant must be
comfortable speaking and presenting material in front
of groups.
Technical Writer/Editor
Description: The primary function of the Technical
Writer/Editor is the development and maintenance of user
documentation for a rapidly growing software company.
Duties include the designing, scheduling, testing, writing,
editing, and publishing of documentation to hardcopy,
online help, CD-ROM, and HTML environments. Additional
duties may include the opportunity to write, edit, and
assist others in the development of internal, sales, and
marketing documentation.
Qualifications: A degree in Communications, Technical
Writing, or related field is preferred. At least 2 years
of experience in a technical writing capacity, preferably
user documentation at a software company. Applicants must
be able to work with and around programmer's deadlines
and schedules. Experience with alarm monitoring or accounting
software is helpful as well as experience with WordPerfect,
Word, PDF, HTML, Windows, and UNIX.
Client Care Representative
Description: Customer Service Representatives are
responsible for the flow of communications between the DICE
Support Department and its customers in regards to escalated
issues. CSRs perform follow-up contacts on customer issues,
provide weekly summaries of activities and monitor agreements.
CSRs also initiate business contacts with DICE customers.
Qualifications: Interested candidates need to posses
strong written and oral communication skills, a professional
work ethic and some computer experience. A background in
customer service and the alarm industry are also beneficial.
