Asset Tracking</b><br>
<br>The DICE Streaming Web Mapping Server allows real-time asset tracking, GPS monitoring, and data entry for geo-fencing and other boundaries live on the web.  The mapping component works with both DICE PinPoint Global Positioning Systems software and the DICE*eLink system. <br><br>The Streaming Web Mapping Server has unique features not available in any other segment of the Telematics or alarm industry. Through this new interface, vehicle movement can be monitored live without the need to refresh or repaint the screen. This efficient delivery of crucial data reduces the bandwidth normally required for image streaming allowing it to be implemented in low bandwidth facilities where it would otherwise be cumbersome. <br><br>The component also allows the user to select and define geo-fence boundaries by drawing polygons on the map with their mouse. These boundaries provide a system to alert an authority or other contact via any method of digital communication when an asset enters or leaves a predefined area of interest. This component is fully integrated with the DICE Authority Database (DAD), providing a web-based control panel to add new or edit existing authorities' valid boundaries of service.
